Equine Faecal Test Kit, please select an option of Racehorse Performance or Foal Testing.

Racehorse Performance -buy this test to check whether your horse/yard are performance ready. If not we can improve the score with targeted pre, post and symbiotics.

๐Ÿ† Winning Horse (Elite Potential)

  • Performance Readiness Score โ‰ฅ 70

  • Broad microbial diversity, strong fibre degraders (Fibrobacter, Ruminococcus), good butyrate producers, balanced lactate metabolism, low inflammation markers.

  • Suggests stamina, recovery, and resilience needed for consistent high performance.

โš–๏ธ Medium Horse (Competitive but Variable)

  • Score 40โ€“69

  • Some strengths but also one or two weaknesses (e.g., moderate fibre fermentation but high lactate risk, or decent SCFA production but elevated endotoxin taxa).

  • Performance may be inconsistent, responding well to dietary management but at risk under stress.

โ›” Low Ability Horse (Performance-Limiting Microbiome)

  • Score < 40

  • Low diversity, weak fibre degraders, poor SCFA capacity, excess lactate producers, or high inflammation load.

  • These horses are likely to struggle with energy extraction, recovery, and gut stability, limiting performance potential.

Foal Testing - Gut bacteria diversity as a foal = performance later. Higher bacterial diversity at one month old correlates positively with Official Rating, prize money and placings. Antibiotics significantly decreases biodiversity, improve biodiversity with Equibiome targeted therapies.

The Equibiome Faecal Test uses state-of-the-art gene technology to identify the complex and diverse community within the horse's hindgut.

When buying multiple tests, please keep a list of the horses linked to the number of the test tubes, we can only number the test tubes and log them in against the owner.
