Some strengths but also one or two weaknesses (e.g., moderate fibre fermentation but high lactate risk, or decent SCFA production but elevated endotoxin taxa).
Performance may be inconsistent, responding well to dietary management but at risk under stress.

Score < 40
Low diversity, weak fibre degraders, poor SCFA capacity, excess lactate producers, or high inflammation load.
These horses are likely to struggle with energy extraction, recovery, and gut stability, limiting performance potential.
